The Iyengar Yoga Switzerland Association (IYS) was founded in 1999 by a few teachers and practitioners and has been growing continuously ever since. The association now has over 250 members; more than half of them are certified Iyengar Yoga teachers. Every year, IYS organizes a multi-day Iyengar Yoga Convention. At this event, members of the association and other interested persons can practice and continue learning Iyengar Yoga with an internationally reknown teacher.

IYS gIYS guarantees high-quality Iyengar Yoga teaching in Switzerland: The association monitors and supports the training of new teachers, evaluates the annual training and certifies teachers. It is non-profit-oriented – the board and the members of the various commissions all work on a voluntary basis.
